Privacy policy
This page covers chamberside.com and the Chamberside app, which a chamber of commerce uses to run its calendar, members, reminders and texts. It says what we keep, who receives it, and how to have it deleted. Last updated October 16, 2026.
This website
- No analytics or ad pixels. chamberside.com doesn’t measure your visit, set cookies, or load advertising trackers.
- What others see. Vercel hosts the site and logs each request, with your IP address, as any web host does. The site’s fonts load from Adobe Fonts, which also sees your IP address. Booking a demo takes you to Cal.com, where its own privacy policy applies.
Who signs in
- A chamber’s staff and board. A chamber adds the people who can use its Chamberside. Nobody can create an account on their own.
- Signing in. You enter your email and we send you a link that signs you in. We keep your name, email, role at the chamber, and your signed-in sessions, with the IP address and browser each one came from.
What a chamber keeps about other people
A chamber uses Chamberside to keep track of its members and the people it works with. The chamber decides who goes in. We keep these records for the chamber, and use them only to run Chamberside for it.
- Members. Each member business’s name, kind of business, address, phone, email, website, social media accounts, membership level, preferred language and renewal dates.
- People. Members’ contacts, volunteers, board members and others: their name, role, email, phone, preferred language, the business they’re with, and whether they get the chamber’s texts or weekly email.
- Events and guest lists. The chamber’s calendar, and who is invited to each event or meeting.
- Answers to reminders. When the chamber asks whether you’re coming, we keep your answer and when you gave it, by email button or by text.
- Each chamber sees only its own. No other chamber can see these records.
Emails
- What we send. Reminders about the chamber’s events and meetings, and a Monday email with the week ahead for people who choose to get it. They come from hello@chamberside.com and go out through Resend, our email provider.
- Answering. A reminder may ask you to answer yes or no with a button. Each button works once and stops working when the event ends.
- What we keep. A copy of each email we send, so the chamber can see what went out.
- Stopping them. Ask your chamber, or write to us at the address below.
Texts
- How they’re sent. A chamber can text people reminders and questions about its events. Texts go out as iMessages through Photon. Texts sent by SMS will go through Twilio.
- Only with your consent. A chamber may text only people who agreed to get its texts, for example when they joined the chamber or signed up to volunteer. We keep a record of each consent and each opt-out, with when and how it was given. A person with no consent on file isn’t texted.
- A person sends each one. Every text is written or approved by someone at the chamber before it goes out. The only automatic texts are the answers to STOP, START and HELP.
- Replies. We keep your replies and count the yeses and noes, so the chamber can see who is coming. When a reply isn’t a clear yes or no, someone at the chamber reads it and sets the answer.
- Opting out. Reply STOP (or ALTO, CANCEL, END, QUIT or UNSUBSCRIBE) and you’ll get one text confirming it, then no more texts from that chamber. Reply START to get them again, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.
- Your number stays with the chamber. We don’t sell or share phone numbers or text consent with anyone for their marketing.
The assistant
- What it does. People at a chamber can ask Chamberside’s assistant questions and have it draft events, members and posts. Nothing it drafts is saved or sent until a person presses the draft’s button.
- Where your question goes. To answer, Chamberside sends the question and the chamber records it needs, such as events, members and people, to an AI model, DeepSeek V4 Flash. The request goes through OpenRouter, which passes it to a company that runs the model.
- Not used for training. The companies that run the model don’t keep chamber data or use it to train AI models. OpenRouter keeps a record of each request, such as when it was made and which model answered, but not what it says.
- What we keep. The chat, and what each answer cost.
Google Calendar and Google Drive
Someone at a chamber can connect their Google account to Chamberside: Google Calendar, to keep the chamber’s calendar and theirs in step, and Google Drive, to add files to the chamber’s library.
- What you allow. Google’s screen lists the access Chamberside asks for before you agree. In Drive, Chamberside sees only the files you pick, never the rest of your Drive. In Calendar, it uses the calendars you choose to connect.
- What we keep. Your Google account’s email address, the permissions you granted, your access tokens, and the events and files you connected.
- What it’s for. Only the features you connected: showing and updating the chamber’s calendar, and keeping the files you picked in its library. We don’t sell it, use it for ads, or use it to develop, improve or train AI or machine learning models that aren’t yours alone. People at Chamberside don’t read it unless you ask us to, it’s needed for security, or the law requires it.
- Google’s rules. Chamberside’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- Disconnecting. Remove Chamberside in your Google Account under “Third-party apps & services”, or write to us, and we delete your tokens. Events and files already added to the chamber stay with the chamber unless you ask us to delete them.
Where it’s kept, and who else handles it
- Hosting. The Chamberside app and its database run on Railway. chamberside.com and the app’s pages are served by Vercel. The keys to these services are kept in Doppler.
- The others. Resend sends our emails, Photon and Twilio carry texts, OpenRouter and the company running the AI model answer the assistant’s questions, and Google holds what you connect from it. Each receives only what its part needs.
- Never sold. We don’t sell any of it, and we don’t use it for ads.
How long we keep it, and deleting it
- A chamber’s records stay while the chamber uses Chamberside. A chamber that stops can ask us to delete everything it kept.
- If you’re in a chamber’s records and want something changed or deleted, ask the chamber, or write to us and we’ll work with the chamber to do it.
Changes
If we change this page in a way that matters, we’ll tell the chambers that use Chamberside before the change applies. Our terms of service cover the rest of the agreement.
